CEREMONIES

 Convocation (Cap and Gown)

  • Is the formal act of walking across the 'stage' to receive your diploma from the Principal, MLA, Board of Education Representative and a CESD Representative.
  • Takes place in the school gymnasium
  • This event is organized by the school
  • Includes Official addresses, Scholarship presentations and the Valedictorian address

Timeline

9:00 am                   Grads arrive at the school, meet in the music room and receive their caps and gowns as well as appropriate sashes

9:40 am                   Students line up in the hallway in alphabetical order

10:00 am                 Cap and Gown Ceremony begins

11:30 am                 Ceremony concludes

12:00 pm                 All gowns must be returned to the music room

 

 

Graduation Banquet

  • Is the promenade Tux and Dress celebration event that has a meal, program and a dance
  • This event is organized by the Grade 12 students and their parents in consultation with a High School representative
  • Funded by the Grad Class
