I’m excited to be teaching at Spruce View School for my eleventh year as the grade 3 and 4 homeroom teacher. I’m joining a vibrant, caring team of teachers in the elementary wing.
I grew up in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and Sooke, British Columbia. My father is a west coast watercolor artist, so I spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors at the many beaches on Vancouver Island.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007. I completed my practicum in Melbourne, Australia through the University of Minnesota Morris. I taught grade 3 in Meadow Lake, SK, and then Years 4-8 in Rangiwahia, New Zealand. In 2011, I moved to Spruce View. In 2022, I completed my Master of Education in Leadership from the University of Calgary.
In my spare time, I enjoy cross country skiing, hiking, and camping with my family. My wife and I have three children.
I am looking forward to another amazing learning adventure this year.
