Family Wellness Worker
Look at the time fly!! As I approach another school year with Chinook’s Edge School Division, I am filled with excitement about the upcoming year. I look forward to watching as all our students grow in their own time. My hope is that we are supporting and encouraging this growth in whichever direction it may take them.
I believe in the Neufeld approach; and the impact of positive connections. I also believe that the school environment includes more than math and science. I hope to have an impact within the school by helping to educate the whole person as well as helping families and communities grow. I will provide the most inclusive space that is safe, caring, calming and positive for all students.
I have been in the helping profession for over 16 years. My work experience has taken me into the realm of refugees, homelessness, domestic violence, as well as child and family services, adult services, addictions and treatment centers. I am excited to see how my skill set can help the families and students reach their full potential!
I am shared between two schools; Spruce View and Jessie Duncan. I am at Spruce View on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every other Tuesday. Then I am at Jessie Duncan on Thursday and every other Tuesday. Typically I work 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The days and times do flex for meetings and trainings as needed. Because I work between the two schools, feel free to reach me on my cell 403-877-7112 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you can’t reach me at the school.
